Add Attachments

If you have files associated with information in Peachtree, such as customers, vendors, employees, and inventory items, you can now save copies of these files in the Peachtree record to help you stay more organized. Most standard types of files are supported, including Microsoft Excel spreadsheets or Word files, photographs or scanned documents, so that you can include virtually any information you would like in Peachtree.

Automatically Create IDs

Now Peachtree can automatically build an ID based on the Name or Description you enter on Maintain record windows (Maintain Customer, Maintain Inventory Item, etc.). This way, the ID will reflect the name or description, insuring a logical and consistent coding system everyone can follow. You can always change the created ID prior to saving the record. Or you can turn this feature off if you prefer (in Maintain Global Options).

Custom Date-Range Filtering

Now you can set up a custom date range covering multiple periods within the two open fiscal years in your reports and financials, such as the General Ledger Trial Balance and the General Ledger report. For example, you can set up a date range of February 10th – April 22nd or December 11th – January 18th. In addition to the reports that already allowed custom date-range filtering, we’ve now included custom date-range filtering on the following reports: General Ledger, General Ledger Trial Balance, Working Trial Balance and the Chart of Accounts report..

Improved Forms Design

In Peachtree 2008, the forms design process has been improved. It is easier to perform common tasks such as adding a logo or adding fields to a form. You can also design a form from certain task screens using templates. You can associate a form with a template and design the form at the same time that you create the template.

Improved Performance When Saving

Now you can experience reduced save times when saving records (customers, items, etc.) or transactions while reports are open.

Enhanced Report Options

See more of the information that is vital to your company on reports. Many reports have additional  filter and sort options that give you more control over analyzing your data. In addition, you can add additional fields or columns to your reports. We also expanded drill-down capabilities that let you quickly access the details behind the numbers on many of the most commonly used reports, such as the General Ledger, Bank Deposit report, and more.

Updated QuickBooks Conversion

QuickBooks conversion is now easier and more complete. You can add account numbers for your accounts while converting to Peachtree and set up payroll if you want. In addition, you can choose to convert QuickBooks transactions, such as payments and invoices.

New Sales Tax Wizard

Now, you can use a sales tax wizard to walk you through the steps of setting up your sales taxes. With this easy-to-use wizard, you can add a new sales tax, delete an existing sales tax, or edit existing sales taxes.
